Silverthorne's location provides access to 25 miles of National Forest and State Trailheads and 35 acres of open space and parks. The Town of Dillon's original location is now beneath the waters of Dillon Reservoir. The Town was moved to a new location when Denver Water built the dam in the early 60's.
