Breckenridge Festival of Film June 7-10, 2012
In its 32nd year, the Breckenridge Festival of Film celebrates the art and craft of filmmaking. Each year, a unique and varied array of independent films, premieres, receptions, educational programs and retrospectives honoring featured guests takes place high in the Colorado Rockies.

Breckenridge Peak 8 Fun Park Opening Day, June 15, Enjoy a day of family fun in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, and take advantage of everything that Breckenridge has to offer in the summer time. The Peak 8 Fun Park features activities for all ages including the SuperSlides, Mountain Biking, SuperPutt Mini Golf, SuperBungee Trampoline, Ripperoo's Bounce House, Gemstone Panning, Scenic Chairlift Rides, the Rockpile Climbing Wall, and Colorado's largest human Maze!

Kingdom Days, June 18-19, 2012. Join us in reinventing Breckenridge’s colorful past during the fifth annual Kingdom Days. Celebrate over 150 years of Breckenridge’s diverse history with mining, exploration and adventure. Founded in 1859, Breckenridge was inadvertently excluded from some copies of the U.S. maps, becoming known as "Colorado's Kingdom" until 1936 when it finally became incorporated. For an entire weekend, this real town turns upside down to pay tribute to gold fields and mining, exploration and adventure, brothels and saloons, booms and busts.

Independence Day Celebration,  July 4, 2012
Breckenridge's Independence Day is filled with patriotic celebration including concerts and activities for all ages. The weekend includes a colorful Independence Day Celebration on July 4. A 10K trail race fires up Independence Day morning, and the "Firecracker 50" bike race kicks off the Main Street parade
followed by various activities and music throughout town. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra as they perform a FREE mountain holiday celebration followed by an extraordinary fireworks display (weather permitting).

Breckenridge July Art Festival, July 6-8, The 29th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival is annually ranked one of the top art shows in the United States. In 2009 this show was ranked 18th in the nation by the Art Fair Sourcebook. This high quality festival will offer a wide range of art mediums such as painting, metal, wood, glass, ceramics, sculpture, photography and jewelry just to name a few. From 10 am - 6 pm daily at Main Street Station, corner of S. Main St. and Park Avenue. Free Admission.

The 7th Annual Breckenridge Beer Festival, Saturday, July 21, 2012. The attendance at this festival has grown every year with a sold out crowd in 2009 and 2010! This beer sampling event with live music draws a wide range of people from beer aficionados to families. Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival, July 27-29. The 11th Annual Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival - this established show will feature over 100 artists from around the country. Artists will present ceramics, mixed media, fiber, jewelry, painting, wood, glass, sculpture and much more! You won't want to miss this fabulous summer weekend of art and mountain ambience.

36th Annual Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival, September 1-3. The 37th Annual Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival is nationally ranked in the top 200 of fine art shows in the United States. The tradition continues over Labor Day Weekend and will feature over 100 artists with a wide range of mediums including photography, wood, glass, jewelry and pottery just to name a few. Located on Main Street at Wellington, this show is a highlight of Labor Day festivities in Breckenridge.

Breckenridge's 18th annual Oktoberfest, September 14-16, 2012, includes a fun-filled weekend of fall foliage, great parties, Paulaner Bier, genuine German cuisine, collectable steins and special accommodation packages. Don't miss the largest Oktoberfest in the Rocky Mountains
